Just got back home from cip! Okay, fine, I got back an hour ago. Finished bathing/slacking :D Anyway, went to Mountbatten CC today to help collect newspaper and other stuff that could be recycled ;) Went with Wenxin, Jieyi, Huiqi, and a few other people. The stuff we collected added up to many many piles, and Wenxin and I were in charge of sorting them out. Oh, but before I describe that part, I'll tell y'all about what happened before that! ;D
There were about 24 students and were separated into 3 groups. Each group covered 2 blocks of flats. Thennn, among the group, we were further separated into 2 groups. One covered the odd levels, and the other naturally took the even levels. Wenxin and I were grouped along with 2 other very very nice seniors and we hit it off really well. So yeah, we went door to door, asking if the residents would like to recycle any newspapers and other items. We did quite well, and many residents were really nice and friendly, especially the elderly ones! :D
So anywayy, time passed and after collecting our last set of newspapers from one block, Wenxin and I were given a break by the teacher, heehhehe. So yepp, we sat at the seating area (not sure how to call it) , talked, laughed and we found some really nice magazines, hohoho. >:) Yups, so we spent most of the time reading them. When the other people came back, we helped to pile things up properly while they proceeded on to help the other groups. Since it was quite boring, I started humming and Wenxin was like looking at me, saying "Woman! You hum so loud, as if you're having a good time sorting them out ah!" Ahahah. So, I stopped and told Wenxin we could play a talking game while we sorted the stuff out. Hehehe.
But we didn't, cos the chairperson of this programme came and helped us. So we didn't really say anything. He was real friendly though! ^^ Since we still had time after doing that, we went to help other groups carry their stuff back to the CC. It was tiring okay! So heavy ._.
And there was this old lady who saw us walking back with the recycled items and she signalled for me to go over. When I asked her if she needed anything, she kept asking me to go to her flat to help her! But it was only me and Wenxin then, and we were carrying so many things already! Wx tried telling her we our teacher was waiting etcetc, and guess what? She dragged me into the lift. -.- Btw, her flat stank.
It rained after that. Many people got drenched, but I suppose we all had quite a bit of fun x)
Oh and why are some people so so so desperate -.- I mean, sucking up to your friend just so her friend who's a guy will notice you. Changing your personality just for him. Ughh, it makes me sick. Don't you have any bit of self-respect? /:
