Day 4
we headed off to Terminal 21 & Asiatique on Friday! Asiatique's something like the Clarke Quay in S'pore and I loooooved it there. The lights, the live band, the atmosphere and the shops made it a beautiful sight and it was obviously a place for couples!!!! But anyway, before we go on to that, I'll upload some pictures taken in Terminal 21 :) it's this mall whereby each floor has a different theme (same for the toilets) so we were running around taking pictures with monuments HAHA
first stop: lunch!
had to take 2 different cabs again & Alicia, Junhsien, my mum, dad and I took the one which ended up getting stuck in a traffic jam because of the riots... the good thing is that like everything in bkk, the taxi fares are suuuuper cheap so we didn't really have to worry. Only thing was that it was prolly one of the longest cab rides I'd ever be in.
Rome wasn't built in a day :)
PARIS!
needless to say...... JAPAN :)
LONDON LONDON!
my uncle AKA our tour guide for the trip ^^
Back at Rome!!!
we had a short break from all the running around and had lunch (or should i say, tea)
♡♡
(pedo smiles)
bonding sessions with my brother
and soooo after tea we headed out to the christmas tree because SOMEONE (aka peng mei xuan alicia) wanted so desperately to take pictures with the tree
Left: Starbucksssssss Right: crepe #2!!!!!
I'm not really excited for Christmas though, it just means that the year is coming to an end and I'm not quite ready for it yet sigh. The christmas trees and lights are really pretty though, that's one of the things I like about December :)
for dinner we headed to Asiatique by boat! I was really hyped up for the boat ride and my breath was taken away when we reached BKK's very own version of Clarke Quay.
BIGGEST CANDYFLOSS I'VE EVER EATEN
really huge ferris wheel :)
there was this beautiful place called Juliet's Garden where couples wrote their names on heart shaped rubber keychain liked stuff before locking them to the fence :) it's something like the one they have in Paris! So basically I wanted to go up to Juliet's balcony BUT lo and behold, you had to lock your heart thingy onto the fence first before you were able to do so :( and of course............. you need to have a lover with you to write your names onto the heart thingy HAHA
the best part of the night was prolly having the chance to get onto the ferris wheel with the cousins and bros :) we blasted songs when we reached the top and the view was really breathtaking!!! I guess it's moments like these that make me the happiest. Sigh now I'm missing them and everything about the trip :/
for the last day we headed to Chatuchak to see the animals before going back to the hotel to prepare for our flight back to sg. I didn't really enjoy this part because the animals were all caged up and you could see that the possums and squirrels and basically all of them wanted to get out really desperately. There was this guinea pig stuck in a cage that was really tiny and there wasn't even sufficient space for him to move around???!?!??! The squirrels were chained up, and so were the owls/ parrots and birds. Most of the time the problem was overcrowding and basically just ejwbgwgrjkwjkbnjbiuabfa I don't know man I wanted to break open the cages and let them escape
all in all it was an eye opener because you don't get to see animals like them very often but it isn't something I'd like to see again.
and then we headed back to the hotel and washed up and got ready to leave for the airport :'(
and here we are! i'm finally done with the 2 posts hehe.
